‘I expect them to make history’ : Chelsea prediction made ahead of Slavia Praha tie

Chelsea’s top four hopes took a major hit on Sunday after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool and it looks like they will now have to take the long route of winning the Europa League to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The Blues face Slavia Praha at Stamford Bridge next holding a narrow 1-0 advantage against the visitors.

Equating all considerations, Pundits have made their predictions and you can read what they had to say below:

Michael Owen (Chelsea win) – BetVictor

Chelsea have won 10 of their 11 Europa League games so far this season – no English side has ever won 11 games in a European season – and I expect them to make history and comfortably see off the challenge of Slavia Prague back at Stamford Bridge.

Charlie Nicholas (Chelsea win) – Sky Sports

It will be another rest for five or six Chelsea players, I would imagine. Eden Hazard will get a night off and Olivier Giroud will come in as well as Pedro. There are enough choices in there. I would keep Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudson Odoi in the side, but this will be another comfortable night for Chelsea. Giroud will score again.
