Eden Hazard will reject Real Madrid and stay at Chelsea for one reason – Simon Jordan

REAL MADRID are no longer a bigger club than Chelsea – and that is why Eden Hazard will stay at Stamford Bridge.

That is according to talkSPORT pundit and former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan.

Eden Hazard is heavily linked with a summer exit from Chelsea with his current contract expiring in 2020.

The Belgian has not previously hidden his desire to play for the La Liga giants.

Hazard claims he will make a decision over his future at the end of the season.

But with Chelsea unable to sign players due to their transfer ban, Jordan says there is no need for the Blues to sell their prized asset.

And he reckons there is no extra benefit for Hazard joining Real Madrid than staying and extending his contract at Chelsea.

“The kid sends out mixed messages,” Jordan said..

“You never know whether you’re Arthur or Martha with him.

“One minute he’s here and the next he’s going.

“So I don’t think it’s necessarily a foregone conclusion that he’ll go to Madrid because I think Chelsea have still got a lot of lure about them.

“Everyone’s house is for sale if someone offers you twice the price for it.

“In this situation, what benefit is the money if they can’t buy any players?

“I think it’s a sad situation for English football if we lose a prestigious talent like that, because he is a very talented player and I don’t think Real Madrid and Barcelona are bigger clubs than the English clubs anymore.

“I think that’s all part of the past and I don’t see why Madrid should be attracting the players to go over there.

“We should be able to keep them at the Chelseas, Manchester Uniteds and Manchester Citys of the world.”
