‘Just shut up, your football is nothing’ – Andy Jacobs’ sensational Sarri rant

Andy Jacobs was in a disappointingly philosophical mood as he reflected on Chelsea’s 6-0 humiliation against Manchester City.

If you tuned into talkSPORT at 1pm on Monday hoping for another feather-spitting rant from the talkSPORT host after yet another Chelsea collapse, you would have been a bit let down… initially.

But the huge Blues fan couldn’t help but tear into manager Maurizio Sarri following a woeful weekend for the London club.

He said the Italian boss should be sacked immediately having overseen two of Chelsea’s heaviest ever Premier League defeats over the past two weeks.

“If you’ve tuned in expecting me to go mad, you’ll be very disappointed, because I’m quite philosophical about it,” said one half of Hawksbee and Jacobs.

“It didn’t really need a 6-0 defeat to City to tell me Maurizio Sarri wasn’t the right bloke for this job. If they can lose 4-0 at Bournemouth, it’s no surprise they can lose 6-0 at City.”

But then, Andy couldn’t help but get a little scathing when asked about the manager’s future…

“I’d get rid of him,” he continued.

“It’s the inflexibility I can’t stand. There’s no plan-b.

“When you’re losing 2-0 or 3-0, why not change it? Why keep playing the same way? Try something different!

“He keeps saying the same thing over and over: ‘I’m not seeing my football’. Your football is nothing, mate! It’s just pass and move, you haven’t reinvented the wheel, why don’t you shut up!

“The idea of having problems in defence and playing Kante where he’s playing him, it’s just mad. It’s completely mad… but, you know, never mind!

“I’d have him gone, definitely. Now.”

Andy admitted he couldn’t watch much more after seeing the Blues go 4-0 down inside 25 minutes, so turned over to the cricket.

However, with England and the West Indies at tea, he then decided to have his first taste of E-Sports – and the verdict was not good…

The talkSPORT host added: “You don’t want to see your team humiliated, it’s hard, nobody likes to see that. A lot of fans left and I don’t blame them.

“I put the cricket on but it was tea, so I watched the E-Sports World Cup and I’ve never seen anything more sad and pathetic.

“It’s absolutely ridiculous! It’s a computer game, who cares?

“It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen, I don’t recommend anybody watch it, ever! It’s really, really terrible.”
