Maurizio Sarri is hopeful Eden Hazard and new signing Gonzalo Higuain can create a formidable attacking partnership for Chelsea.
The Blues are in the hunt to secure a Premier League top four spot this season with just 13 games left to play, along with competing for the FA Cup and Europa League.
The Stamford Bridge side are currently fourth in the league on 50 points, with Manchester United just two points behind and Arsenal three back themselves.
Higuain scored a brace in the club’s recent 5-0 win over Huddersfield, with Hazard also claiming two assists in the game to keep the London club in fourth spot.
However, Chelsea will need to continue this attacking threat if they are to reach their goals this season, and their Italian manager hopes his two stars can continue to fire them to glory this season.
‘Gonzalo is a great player,’ Sarri said. ‘He has done very well everywhere, in Madrid, in Naples, in Milan.
‘He is very useful for Eden. They are very suitable to play together. Gonzalo at the moment is very determined, and that is important.
‘He is already inspiring the other players. As you saw in the last match, Eden passed the ball very often to Gonzalo.
‘They speak the same language with the ball, so Gonzalo will be very important for us.’
Chelsea’s next game is against Manchester City on Sunday at the Etihad.
