Chelsea superstar hints at summer exit

Eden Hazard has hinted that his time at Chelsea could finally be coming to an end this summer, with an extended version of a recent interview released.

The Belgian’s future has been in the air for a number of years now, with big-money moves tipped to happen, only for Hazard to commit his future to the Blues.

Real Madrid’s interest in the 28-year-old has been well-known for some time, but until now Chelsea have fought off their advances.

This time it does feel as though Hazard’s seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge could be coming to an end, though.

The Chelsea superstar has told RMC that he is weighing up his options, but his decision appears to be made:

“I know what I’m going to do. I have decided. For now, the only thing to think about is playing well for Chelsea.

I have a year-and-a-half left on my contract, everyone knows. My decision will be known soon, but it’s not something that affects my mind.

I think about it, but without thinking about it. When I’m in the field, I just want to play. We’ll see what happens after.”

At 28, Hazard may feel this is the last chance to move to Madrid at the peak of his powers.

It is hard to begrudge him the move, following so many years of great service in west London, during which time he has cemented his reputation as a Blues legend.
