Pep Guardiola has not ruled out Chelsea chasing down Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the race for the Premier League title.
The Blues are currently 12 points back from Jurgen Klopp’s side, nine away from City and seven points behind Spurs with just 13 matches to go.
Realistically, Chelsea are in a battle for the top four as they sit just two points above Manchester United, who are fifth, and three points ahead of Arsenal who are currently in sixth position.
In the last 13 Premier League games the Blues have lost five games, including a dreadful 4-0 loss to Bournemouth last week.
However, Guardiola is not ruling out a late surge from Maurizio Sarri’s side to put some pressure on the top clubs in the coming months.
“It is a question for yourself! I never say Tottenham was not there, or Chelsea,” Guardiola said in his press conference this afternoon.
“United is making this run of victories every single week. If Chelsea are able to do games in a row, they are a contender to win the Premier League.
“There are 39 points to play for, it is not too much. Everybody is ready to take points.”
