Higuain scores twice as Chelsea hammer Huddersfield

GONZALO HIGUAIN EXPLODED into life as a Chelsea player by netting two of his side’s goals in a 5-0 battering of Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge.

Higuain got Chelsea off the mark 16 minutes into the game, with Eden Hazard doubling their advantage with a penalty on the stroke of half-time.

Hazard and Higuain then each got their second goals withing minutes into the second-half; Hazard’s assisted by the excellent Ross Barkley, Higuain’s a spectacular effort.

David Luiz added a fifth late on, crowning a perfect response to the 4-0 hammering at Bournemouth in midweek. The result leaves Chelsea three points clear of fifth-placed Arsenal, who face Manchester City tomorrow.

Huddersfield, meanwhile….are doomed.

Having fired a blank on his Premier League debut during the 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth in midweek, the Argentine knew he needed to up his game against Huddersfield.

And boy did he.

Higuain opened the scoring at Stamford Bridge in the 16th minute by making a run in behind, latching onto N’Golo Kante’s pass and leathering the ball past Jonas Lossl.

It was a thumping finish from Higuain and it needed to be due to the angle he shot from. Kante’s pass
