Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is expected to make defensive changes and hand Gonzalo Higuain his first home Premier League start against Huddersfield this afternoon (3pm).
The Blues were left reeling by a crushing 4-0 defeat at Bournemouth in midweek – their heaviest defeat in 20 years – and Sarri could react.
Andreas Christensen is expected to come out from the cold to start in defence, whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek will form a three-man midfield alongside Ngolo Kante and Jorginho.
Higuain will be the focal point in attack with Eden Hazard and Willian on either side after the Blues resisted late interest from Paris Saint-Germain for Willian on Deadline Day.
The Blues have a chance to gain a march on Arsenal in the battle for fourth place. A win would move them three points clear of the Gunners, who face a tough trip to Manchester City on Sunday.
But Sarri’s side will need to show some character to bounce back from their humbling Bournemouth hammering against a Huddersfield side keen to impress under new boss Jan Siewert.
Chelsea (4-3-3): Arrizabalaga; Azpilicueta, Luiz, Christensen, Alonso; Kante, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek; Willian, Higuain, Hazard.
