Chelsea land Christian Pulisic
Chelsea announced last week that they’ve sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund.
Chelsea have spent £58m on the 20-year-old American international.
Pulisic will remain at Borussia Dortmund for the second half of the season, before switching to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Many Blues fans will wonder what Pulisic’s arrival will mean for some of the players currently at the club.
Does Pulisic mean Eden Hazard is more likely to leave?
Is the writing on the wall for Pedro and Willian after this season?
Pulisic: Why Chelsea, why not Liverpool
Borussia Dortmund are now on a warm weather training camp in Marbella before the Bundesliga restarts after the winter break.
ESPN have spoken to Pulisic in Spain, and they’ve asked the American why he joined Chelsea and not Liverpool.
On Liverpool, Pulisic is refusing to talk. In a foreboding of how the attacking midfielder is likely to answer all Liverpool based questions moving forward, he said:
It’s not something I want to talk about, I’m very happy with my decision to join Chelsea.
So why did Pulisic join Chelsea?
He claims the style of the club under Maurizio Sarri was key in his decision-making:
I’ve seen their style of play.
I’ve always appreciated how they’ve played football, and it’s really nice how they play now, with their new coach. It fits me very well.
