Chelsea transfer news: Eden Hazard deal is done – Paul Mariner

PAUL MARINER thinks Eden Hazard is definitely leaving Chelsea this summer.

The brilliant Belgian has long been linked with a move to Real Madrid and with his contract having less than 18 months left to run a big decision is looming.

Mariner thinks it’s a formality that Hazard will be moving to Real and insists that the deal will have been done for some time.

Chelsea have made moves in the market to try and strengthen their options on the wing but Hazard would be a difficult man to replace.

Asked, “Is Eden Hazard leaving Chelsea in the summer? Yes or No” Mariner said on the ESPNFC podcast: “It’s a yes.

“The deal’s been done a long, long time ago.”

Fellow pundit Shaka Hislop was less convinced, however he said: “I’m going to say yes, but I’m not going to go 100%. 68%, little bit less than a third of a chance he’ll stay.”

Chelsea have signed Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund this month but he will remain in Germany on loan until the summer.

The £58m American could be the first of many to join in this window with the Blues looking to shuffle their deck.

Alvaro Morata looks likely to leave and Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and Gonzalo Higuain or AC Milan have been tipped to replace him at Stamford Bridge.

Youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi could also head for the exit with Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich launching three bids for his signature with the most recent being worth £35m.

But Sarri is not impressed with their pursuit of the 18-year-old.

Earlier this week, he said: “I think that it’s not professional, because they are talking about a player under contract with Chelsea. So, they didn’t respect our club, I think.

“As you know very well, I am not involved in the market. I spoke with the club and the club knows very well my opinion. In my opinion we need two players.”
