Eden Hazard part of Chelsea squad for BATE game – and Sarri has also included another key player

Eden Hazard has travelled with the Chelsea squad for Thursday night’s Europa League game against BATE Borisov.

Making his comeback from a back problem as a substitute in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace, the Blues had to make do without their star man for three games after suffering the injury in the draw with Manchester United.

Absent for the 3-1 win over the Belarusian side last time out in Europe, Hazard has yet to start in the Europa League for Chelsea this term.

Not included in the squad for the 1-0 win over PAOK back in September, the ex-Lille man was introduced off the bench in their next game against MOL Vidi with the Blues looking for the breakthrough.

Given Chelsea look a certainty to qualify for the knockout stages with games to spare, many fans believed Sarri would leave him in the capital instead of making the 3,200-mile round trip ahead of Sunday’s game against Everton.

However, Cesar Azpilicueta’s latest tweet has confirmed that the Belgian will be part of the travelling party to Belarus.

Uploading a photo about the board the coach from Cobham to the airport, Hazard was spotted just behind the Spaniard with his suitcase.

The club have also confirmed in a tweet that Jorginho will be travelling to Borisov with his teammates.

Rested for the game in SW6 two weeks ago following a busy schedule for club and country, the Italian international could be set to make his first European appearance since the win in Greece.

A long way to go just to watch on from the stands, Sarri may elect to play both Hazard and Jorginho as he takes no chances with the club’s qualification hopes.
