The club infamously loan out a tonne of players. One player who experienced a few loan spells away from Stamford Bridge before sealing a permanent transfer is Nathan Ake, but Chelsea supporters want him back.
Ake only played seven Premier League games in a Chelsea shirt, yet got game time at the likes of Reading, Watford not to mention Bournemouth who eventually secured his services on a permanent deal.
He was snapped up for £20 million after a successful loan stint, and has continued to produce heroics in the heart of Bournemouth’s defence.
And Ake was very unfortunate to be on the losing side on Saturday as Manchester United beat Bournemouth in dramatic fashion, though his outing impressed plenty of people including Chelsea’s lot.
Ake played in every single league game last season, and he remains a integral part of Eddie Howe’s set-up.
There are even links with Spurs. Who would like to take the Dutchman straight to the new Spurs stadium. However, Chelsea may have the option of a first refusal on the former loanee.
