Chelsea appear to have ramped up their interest in former Liverpool player Suso, with talks already being held between the club and his agent.
The Spain winger was linked with Chelsea earlier this week, with the Blues said to be rivalling Atletico Madrid for a player who is currently enjoying a brilliant run of form.
The 24-year-old has begun this campaign with four goals and seven assists in just 12 appearances, further establishing himself as one of Europe’s most effective attacking players.
And while earlier reports claimed Chelsea were only looking at Suso ahead of a potential swoop for the former Liverpool trainee, it now appears the west Londoners are pushing forward in an attempt to sign him.
Calciomercato claim Suso’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, has over the past couple of weeks already held talks with Marina Granovskaia, the Chelsea director who oversees numerous deals.
Furthermore, Maurizio Sarri, the Chelsea manager, is said to be a huge fan of Suso, having come up against him while in charge of Napoli.
It is also stated that further talks between Lucci and Granovskaia will be held in the coming days, though they are believed to be apropos the future of full-back Davide Zappacosta, who is also represented by Lucci.
