CHELSEA boss Maurizio Sarri has made Eden Hazard’s decision over his future more difficult since his arrival.
That is the verdict of Sky Sports pundit and former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.
Hazard has revealed how it is a dream of his to play for La Liga giants Real Madrid.
Real have been linked with a move for the forward in the past few transfer windows.
Hazard’s Chelsea contract expires in the summer of 2020 and he admits he is torn over whether to sign an extension.
He had previously stated he wanted to leave Stamford Bridge after Belgium exited the World Cup at the semi-final stage in the summer.
However, the 27-year-old has revealed how he is loving life under Sarri, who replaced Antonio Conte in the summer.
Hazard is the leading goalscorer in the Premier League with seven goals from eight games and has been named the player of the month for September.
And Schwarzer believes his new-found love under Sarri could sway his decision over his future.
“I think what’s making his decision, or even his thought process, more difficult is the fact Maurizio Sarri has come in and he’s completely changed the way Chelsea play,” Schwarzer said.
“Eden Hazard clearly, and he’s come out publicly and said it, he’s loving football, how much he’s loving working under Maurizio Sarri.
“So that really has, for his own purposes and his own head, complicated the moment even more.
“I think that is a good thing for Chelsea.
“You can completely understand why Chelsea would want to try and keep hold of him at all costs.
“He is such a phenomenal player.”
Chelsea are still unbeaten under Sarri in the Premier League.
They sit level on points with Manchester City and Liverpool at the top of the table after eight games.
