CHELSEA fans have been handed a transfer boost by Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
Blues supporters would have been fearing the worst this week when Eden Hazard admitted he is torn between signing a new Chelsea contract and a dream move to Real Madrid.
Honest Hazard said: “I don’t want to say: ‘Yes, I am signing a new contract’ and then in the end I don’t end up signing.
“So I will see. Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go.
“Sometimes I think I want to stay. It is a hard decision. It is my future.
“Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I don’t want to lie today. It is my dream since I was a kid. I was dreaming about this club. We will see.”
But Balague says Real Madrid don’t want to sign him and that they have other transfer priorities – Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
“The story we know is that Hazard wants to go to Real Madrid, it’s his dream and Real Madrid considered and thought about it in the summer,” he told his YouTube channel.
“But they were told no price for Hazard and they did not insist. It was one of the calls they made in terms of what to do if Neymar wasn’t coming.
“Eventually they decided not to go for anybody and instead they wanted to get the best out of the squad that was there already. I feel it’s a year where it’s like ‘Gareth Bale, here’s your chance to show us what you can do, Marco Asensio it’s time to grow, Benzema we need you to give us goals’.
“Is Hazard a target for next season? It’s been reported that Real Madrid will covet him in the winter, in January, but I don’t believe that’s the case.
“What is quite clear is they’ve got Neymar and I’ll add Mbappe – one of the two – as the main target for next season, and to rebuild the stadium.
“That explains why Real Madrid, over the last five years, has spent only the money they’ve got from selling players and they haven’t gone for a Galactico since James Rodriguez.
“Real Madrid are thinking there’s this bunch of money that they will use to try to bring one of the superstars in the world and they consider Neymar and Mbappe to be in that category – then there’s this bunch of other money for the stadium.
“Hazard will insist but he’s in a win-win situation of course because if Real Madrid don’t go for him – and at the moment, right now, he’s not the top target.
“It’s a win win situation for Hazard but not in January for Real Madrid. He’s not a top target.”
Hazard tops the Premier League goal-scoring charts with seven after claiming the opener in the unbeaten Blues’ 3-0 win at Southampton on Sunday.
He will turn 28 in January and accepts he probably has one more big transfer before retirement.
“That’s why I spoke after the World Cup and I said that I think it is time to change because I played a great World Cup,” Hazard added.
“I am really in the game, I am playing good football at the moment.
“I don’t want to talk about this every day. I don’t have time, but we will talk about my future soon. I think so.”
