Michael Owen has praised Maurizio Sarri for the strong impact he has had at Chelsea FC since taking over this summer.
The Italian manager has been getting used to life in charge at Stamford Bridge after he was brought in as the club’s new manager back in July following the sacking of Antonio Conte.
Chelsea FC have made a strong start to the new Premier League season, winning all four of their opening four games to leave them joint top of the table with Liverpool FC.
The Blues will return to Premier League action this weekend as they bid to make it five wins from five in the top flight under their new manager.
And former Liverpool FC star Owen has been very impressed by what he has seen from the west London side so far under the new boss.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said:
“Maurizio Sarri is certainly changing the way Chelsea approach their football and his refreshing attacking attitude is already making him a fans’ favourite at the Bridge.
“Indeed, Chelsea have attempted and completed more passes than any other side in the Premier League so far this season.”
Chelsea FC will be looking to break back into the top four at the very least this season after they finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season under Antonio Conte.
Conte also steered Chelsea FC to the FA Cup title last season before he was sacked and replaced by Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
