CHELSEA midfielder N’Golo Kante “will think about” joining Liverpool.
That is according to a Reds fan, who spent Saturday night watching Match of the Day with the World Cup winner.
Kante, 27, missed his train to Paris from London St Pancras after the 4-1 win against Cardiff at Stamford Bridge.
With time to kill until the next scheduled departure, he searched for a local mosque on Google where he ended up meeting some football fans.
Kante then spent the evening eating curry, playing FIFA and then watching himself on Match of the Day with the lads.
Twitter user @jahrul999 shared a glimpse of the evening on Twitter, where he dropped the revelation about Liverpool.
He wrote: “World Cup winner, former Premier League player of the year, two-time Premiership winner casually joined us to watch MOTD after visiting a local mosque. True definition of being humble. What a man.
“Not to mention he ate curry loooool. Asked him to join Liverpool and he said he will think about it.”
The man who filmed the event, who wishes to remain anonymous, revealed they spent the whole time talking about football.
He told Daily Star Online exclusively: “We met him in the mosque at 9pm, he was so humble so we asked if he wanted to have dinner.
“He came round at about 10 and stayed until the end of Match of the Day.
“We spent the whole time talking about football and he admitted Messi is on another level to anyone else.
“Eventually, he gave up on going to France and just got a cab back home.”
Chelsea are unlikely to sell Kante to any of their Premier League rivals in any future transfer window.
He played a major role in Chelsea’s 2017 Premier League title win and 2018 FA Cup success.
Kante, who has just under three years left on his contract, admitted he held tentative talks over a move to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
“There was no particular desire to go somewhere after the World Cup,” Kante told RMC Sport.
“There was some interest from elsewhere, but things were clear after speaking with Chelsea – the club is counting on me and I feel good.
“The next logical step was to continue with Chelsea. There was some contact with PSG, yes.
“However, after a discussion with the club, I realised that the main thing for me was to feel good where I was then and am now.
“I am with Chelsea – staying with Chelsea is good for me.”
