CHELSEA manager Maurizio Sarri will make Premier League history by beating West Ham on Sunday.
That’s the opinion of Liverpool hero Michael Owen who thinks the Blues will beat the Hammers.
Chelsea can make it six wins on the bounce in the Premier League if they beat West Ham.
And Sarri would become only the third manager to win his first six after coming to the top flight after Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti.
Owen told BetVictor: “I watched West Ham’s win at Goodison at the weekend and thought it was an excellent result for the Hammers although it is fair to say that on the day Everton were there for the taking.
“West Ham have lost more PL London derbies than any other club and I feel Maurizio Sarri will become just the third PL manager to win his first six games in the competition after Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola.
“That said I expect the hosts to give them a real game in what should be a cracking derby.”
Chelsea’s preparations for the Premier League clash at West Ham have been disrupted after the Blues were forced to delay their return from Greece though.
Maurizio Sarri’s side had planned to fly out straight after Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League win at PAOK.
But adverse weather conditions in the UK saw Chelsea postpone their return flight until Friday morning.
They were scheduled to land late on Friday afternoon.
Chelsea will look to bring the likes of Eden Hazard and David Luiz back into their starting line-up after they were rested for the win in Greece.
Hazard has been in fine form so far this season, netting five goals in five games.
And last time out in the Premier League he scored a hat-trick against Cardiff.
Chelsea’s match at West Ham kicks off at 1.30pm on Sunday and Starsport will bring you complete coverage of the game.
