Premier League side Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on the situation of Benfica goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos, who has produced a string of eye-catching performances this season.
As reported on HITC, the German international moved to the Portuguese side during the summer transfer window and has cemented his number one spot in goal.
The former Panathinaikos shot-stopper has represented Germany from under-15 level all the way to the under-21s and is tipped to find his way into the senior team in the near future.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper was part of the Stuttgart youth setup and has already kept three clean sheets in the Portuguese top flight this season. 18 clubs from around the world have scouted the keeper for Benfica this season and Chelsea are understood to be one of them.
Chelsea already splashed the cash on Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao this summer and are merely scouting Vlachodimos at this stage.
It is understood that various other Premier League sides are also keeping tabs on the German, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle all linked with a move for him.
His chances of leaving soon are slim as his current contract runs until 2023 and he has a £54m release clause in place.
