The Blues came out on top in a five-goal thriller after Chelsea FC were 3-2 winners against Arsenal following Marcos Alonso’s winner with eight minutes to go.
The west London side will make the long trip to St James’ Park to take on former Chelsea FC manager Rafael Benitez and his Magpies side.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen believes Chelsea FC will ease to a narrow win over Newcastle at St James’ Park.
“I think Newcastle are struggling,” Owen told Sky Sports.
“Why did they let Kenedy take the penalty against Cardiff? He was having a nightmare. There’s a bit of a feeling around Newcastle at the moment, and I think Chelsea will take advantage.”
He added: “Chelsea don’t look amazing at the back, Arsenal ripped them apart at times, but Newcastle don’t have what Arsenal have going forward. Maurizio Sarri said he wants Chelsea to be pressing at all times, and it’s a danger when they don’t, even for 20 minutes.
“I just can’t see Newcastle picking them off here. Away win.”
