OFFICIAL: Midfielder makes Chelsea exit

Izzy Brown has joined Leeds United on a season-long loan deal from Premier League Chelsea, but he will not be available tomorrow night.

The 21-year-old is still recovering from a knee ligament injury he suffered in January while on loan with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The former Huddersfield Town loanee did not recover from injury in time to take part in pre-season, but recently returned to full training with the Stamford Bridge giants.

The Whites are hopeful Brown will be up to speed and ready to play a full part for Marcelo Bielsa by the end of September or the start of October.

The loan deal does not include an option to buy. Brown becomes the sixth addition of the summer for director of football Victor Orta.

Brown joins up with Chelsea team-mates Jamal Blackman and Lewis Baker.
