Eden Hazard has confirmed that he will not leave Chelsea this month.
Some of Europe’s elite can still make signings, with La Liga, Ligue 1 and Bundesliga transfer windows not shutting until the end of the month.
Hazard has been linked with a move to Barcelona and Real Madrid among others this summer.
Chelsea’s absence from the Champions League this season only served to increase speculation that he was going to quit the club.
But following Chelsea’s win over Arsenal on Saturday, Hazard has admitted that he has no intention of walking away from Stamford Bridge.
However, the Belgian claims that he will assess the situation over the coming months.
“I’m fine here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two,” he told RMC Sport.
“Leave this year? I will not leave. Everybody knows what I said after the World Cup – but I’m happy here.”
Hazard came off the bench to set up Marcos Alonso’s winner against Arsenal on Saturday night.
It continued Maurizio Sarri’s perfect start as Blues boss while Gunners counterpart Unai Emery is still waiting to get off the mark at the Emirates.
Hazard took over Chelsea’s official Twitter account after the game and and couldn’t resist having a pop at their local rivals.
He said: “Hi guys it’s Eden Hazard at Stamford Bridge we are here just after the derby. You know London is Blue, so see you next week in Newcastle.”
