Maurizio Sarri has told Michy Batshuayi that he has a future at Chelsea this season, according to reports in France.
The 24-year-old was signed from Marseille for £33 million two years ago but struggled to secure a regular role under Antonio Conte.
Batshuayi started only three games in the Premier League last season before he was sent out on loan to Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.
And the Belgium international thrived at the German club by scoring nine goals in 14 appearances before his season was cut short due to an ankle ligament injury.
Batshuayi has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with Valencia reportedly interested in the striker.
But according to RMC Sport, Sarri has held talks with Batshuayi and has told the striker that he is part of his plans for Chelsea’s upcoming campaign.
The report claims that Batshuayi is happy at Chelsea and will not push for a move away before the end of the summer window.
Batshuayi has returned to London following his holiday after Belgium’s World Cup campaign but he has not yet started pre-season training with Chelsea.
