Willy Caballero (on for Bulka at half-time – 6)
Made a decent start with a save to his left, but just two minutes later Gagliardini fired past him to equalise. A couple of mistakes with his feet as well, looked a bit rusty. 4
Cesar Azpilicueta (on for Zappacosta at half-time – 6)
A wonderful recovery tackle to clear the danger for the Blues when Inter broke and he made a couple of decent clearances as well. More defensive minded than Zappacosta, though. Scored his penalty. 7
At times the Chelsea defence were left a little bit exposed, but Luiz commanded the defence pretty well with Icardi looking to try to put some pressure on.
Looked frustrated in the second half with mistakes in front of him as the Blues struggled to get a hold of the game. 6
More of an intense game for him in the opening 45 minutes with a top quality striker in Icardi against him and being put under pressure. However, he dealt with it well.
He had a couple of mistakes after the pressure was put on him, but he still had a good night. 7
A lot of the Inter attacks came down his side in the first half as Candreva looked to attack. One poor shot and free-kick that fired over the bar.
Tried to get forward a bit more at the start of the second half, but not to great avail. 5

Danny Drinkwater (on for Fabregas at half-time – 6)
Tried his luck from range that just went by the post, but isn’t as incisive as Fabregas and needs to move the ball quicker. Scored his penalty. 5
Knitting into this side very well and played it simple on several ocassions. Not quite as effective on the ball as he was in the opening game, but kept the tempo of the game high.
More on his shoulders to get the game going in the second half and fired an effort that was close to going in. Scored his penalty. 7
Tiemoue Bakayoko (on for Barkley at half-time – 8)
An awful start as he gave the ball away cheaply for Gagliardini to fire home. Looks a bit lost again in this formation, however did sometimes look better when he just played it simply and quickly. 3
Two games and two goals, Pedro is getting himself in the right areas. Also showed a lot of confidence looking to break at speed, maybe should have done better a couple of times in the final third.
Tried to add some more pace in the second half, but the pace of the game really slowed. 7
Thriving under Sarri and anytime he had the ball at his feet he was a threat. Great breaks as well and the encouraging thing was he often picked the right ball in the final third.
He carried that form into the second half as well, showing wonderful feet on the left beating his man and getting the ball into the box. 8
Something of a point to prove and he really showed a lot of intent. Excellent on the ball, crucial in the opening goal and was excellent throughout the opening half.
Struggled to get the service in the second half as Chelsea were poor at the beginning of the second 45 min
Antonio Rudiger (on for Ampadu 65′)
Looked calm on the ball but a bit rusty at times. Looking to learn just what Sarri wants from his defenders. 6
Andreas Christensen (on for Luiz 65′)
Solid at the back and looked comfortable on the ball. 6
Victor Moses (on for Pedro 65′)
Interesting to see what role he will play, and this was a more attacking one as one of the three attackers. A couple of decent runs. Scored his penalty. 5
Emerson (on for Alonso 65′)
Got down well on the left and fired into a ball that Abraham should have finished. 6
Tammy Abraham (on for Morata ’65)
Worked really hard and fired a good shot that was well saved. However, missed a big chance late in the game. Scored his penalty. 6
Lucas Piazon (on for Hudson-Odoi ’83)
Linked well with Emerson that set up the chance for Abraham. 6
