Chelsea FC will look to target Alisson Becker if Thibaut Courtois leaves Stamford Bridge this summer, according to a report in England.
Website Football.London is reporting that the Blues are looking at the Brazil international as a favorable candidate to fill Courtois’ boots should the Belgian force through a move.
The same article states that Courtois has made it clear to the FA Cup winners that he wants to return to the Spanish capital to reunite with his two children in Madrid.
According to the same story, the Blues won’t resume negotiations with the Belgium international over a new deal for at least another week following his participation in the World Cup.
Courtois, who was unable to prevent Belgium from suffering a 1-0 loss to France in the World Cup semi-finals on Tuesday, has less than 12 months to run on his current deal.
The Blues will face competition for Alisson given both Liverpool FC and Real Madrid are thought to be interested in the Brazil number one.
Chelsea doesn’t have Champions League football to offer the South American shot-stopper unlike Liverpool FC and Real Madrid after their fifth-placed finish last term.
The Blues won the FA Cup thanks to a 1-0 win over Manchester United back in May.
Arsenal, Chelsea FC could miss out on Jean Seri to promoted side – report
Fulham could complete a sensational coup and beat their Premier League rivals to the signing Nice midfielder Jean Seri, according to a report in England.
Sky Sports Italia, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that Fulham is set to pull off a transfer masterstroke and beat both Arsenal and Chelsea to Seri’s signature.
The same article states that Seri was in the English capital earlier this week to fuel speculation that a move to the Premier League is set to happen in the near future.
According to the same story, newly promoted Fulham will pay £17.7m to sign the Ivory Coast international ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
The Sun goes on to claim that Chelsea FC has been the frontrunners to sign Seri, while Arsenal has also retained an interest in the Nice midfielder.
The Blues, though, appear to be closing in on a deal to sign Italy international Jorginho from Serie A side Napoli, which perhaps explains why their interest in Seri may have cooled.
Arsenal has signed Sampdoria and Uruguay star Lucas Torreira to improve their options in the middle of the park, while Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi is thought to be a target for Unai Emery.
