Alvaro Morata is set to start for Chelsea against Huddersfield after shaking off his injury problems.
As reported by the London Evening Standard, Antonio Conte confirmed that the Spaniard would start on Wednesday night.
It’s not serious. In my mind, there is the intention for him to be in contention for the game against Huddersfield. I hope.
A training injury to Morata meant Olivier Giroud started against Liverpool and impressed on Sunday afternoon.
The Frenchman scored the only goal of the game with a header in the first half to help Chelsea on their way to three points.
Morata will be out to impress in what remains a key fixture for the Blues, with their Champions League hopes still in the balance.
Chelsea know that two wins from their final two games could be enough to see them finish inside the top four.
The Blues are currently two points behind Spurs in fourth and three behind Liverpool, but Chelsea do have a game in hand.
Two Chelsea players and a loan star in team of the week
Chelsea’s improving form is seeing more and more of their players picked in the BBC’s team of the week, as selected by Garth Crooks.
Azpi made it last week, this time Antonio Rudiger’s solid showing against Mo Salah gets him in, alongside N’Golo Kante.
Also in the team is on loan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who continues his charge to the World Cup with another outstanding performance for Crystal Palace, as they come from behind to win again.
