BARCELONA boss Ernesto Valverde wants the Spanish giants to sign Chelsea star Marcos Alonso.
The Spain international has impressed this season under Antonio Conte.
Alonso, 27, has netted seven goals and chipped in with three assists in all competitions.
And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, the Chelsea left-back is attracting interest from Barcelona.
They say Barca boss Ernesto Valverde has told club transfer chiefs to sign the defender this summer.
Valverde wants to have competition for places at left-back, with Jordi Alba his No 1 choice at the Nou Camp.
Barca, who face Levante tomorrow evening, are currently unbeaten in La Liga, with two games remaining.
Chelsea are back in action tomorrow afternoon when the Blues travel to Newcastle in the final day of the Premier League season (3pm kick-off).
Conte’s men need to beat the Toon and hope Liverpool lose at home to Brighton to secure a top four spot.
If Liverpool get a point tomorrow, Chelsea will have to settle for the Europa League.
Speaking ahead of the Blues’ trip to St James’ Park, Alonso said: “We have a game against Newcastle we have to go and win, and then we will see what happens with Liverpool.
“Then we have another week to focus on the FA Cup final and try to get a trophy for the fans.”
