Robert Lewandowski breaks silence amid Chelsea and Real Madrid transfer links

Robert Lewandowski has cooled the rumours linking him with a big-money move away from Bayern Munich in the summer.

The 29-year-old striker is comfortably the Bundesliga’s top scorer this term with 27 goals, but there is increasing speculation that this could be his final season in Germany.

Reports suggest Lewandowski has instructed his recently-hired agent, Pini Zahavi, to find him a new club ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.

It’s claimed the Poland international would be keen on joining Chelsea, Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window.

Madrid have long been linked with Lewandowski and Karim Benzema’s poor season in front of goal at the Bernabeu has intensified the rumours. Asked about the links with Madrid, the forward told Polskie Radio:

‘Am I thinking about Real in terms of a transfer? No, not at all.’

Bayern announced last week that Niko Kovac is set to become manager but Lewandowski refused to comment on the Croatian’s appointment.

‘For now, I am not thinking about it. The season isn’t over,’ he said. ‘We’re focusing on what is now, under our old new coach.’

The Bundesliga giants take on Madrid for a place in the Champions League final and Lewandowski is looking forward to the challenge.

‘If you want to win the Champions League, you have to beat the best,’ the Pole said.

‘It will definitely be a tough fight. ‘But I hope that we’ll play our brand of soccer and will be the better team.’

Spurs ready to sell 27-yr-old, Pochettino wants Chelsea target as replacement

Tottenham are interested in signing the PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa at the end of this season.

The 25-year-old defender is likely to be sold to raise funds and Spurs are looking to make the most of the situation.

As per the reports, Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on French international as well.

Tottenham left-back Danny Rose was linked with a move away from the club earlier this season and latest reports claim that Spurs are willing to sell him for the right price.

Kurzawa would be a fantastic replacement for Rose if Tottenham manage to pull it off.

The 25-year-old can operate as a wing-back as well and he will add goals to the Tottenham side. Kurzawa has already scored 5 goals for PSG this season from the left back position.

Meanwhile, Manchester United want the PSG star to replace Luke Shaw. The England left-back has been criticised far too often by Mourinho and he is expected to depart this summer.

Also, Chelsea are looking to upgrade on Marcos Alonso and Kurzawa has been identified as a target.
