‘Better than Tuchel’ & ‘Don’t need Conte’s shadow’ – Chelsea fans split over Max Allegri links

Chelsea fans are split over reports of Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri becoming the club’s next boss.

Given the Blues are likely to miss out on a place in next season’s Champions League barring an almighty collapse from Liverpool or Spurs, Antonio Conte looks set to end his time in west London after two seasons.

Luis Enrique and Thomas Tuchel have been linked with the Stamford Bridge hotseat, while Allegri is also another name in the frame following a trophy-laden spell in Turin.

However, as well as links with the Chelsea job, Allegri has been linked with taking over from Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

Having penned a new deal with the Bianconeri last summer until 2020, the Italian boss has revealed that his next job in management will be away from his home country.

“Certainly I will go abroad,” Allegri told The Telegraph. “In Italy, finished.”

The Italian also went into some detail as to what type of coach he is – referencing computer games in the process.

“I could never be a coach who mainly focuses on tactics or analytics because I am more instinctive,” he added. “The coach, in my opinion, bases his decisions on sensations, on perceptions.

“Otherwise it would be enough to sit in front of the computer and football would be like a PlayStation. And that is not what I am.

“In football there are a lot of people who try to reach perfection with figures, with tactics but it’s impossible because there are too many variables.”

Amid talk of a move to Chelsea, the club’s supporters have had plenty to say about Allegri becoming the next manager.

While a number of fans want him to become manager, some are very much against the idea of him taking over at the Blues.
