Willian has urged his Chelsea teammates to press on after their FA Cup routing of Championship side Hull City.
The Brazilian, who was named in his country’s World Cup squad by head coach Tite ahead of the Cup clash, opened the scoring after just 106 seconds on Friday night with a wonderful curling effort from outside the area.
He had a second before the break, too, when he nonchalantly rolled an effort past David Marshall, again from distance.
After a difficult spell the Blues are back to winning ways, but now face the daunting task of Barcelona’s visit in the Champions League next week, and Willian says they must keep working.
“It was a great game, not only by me but the whole team,” he told BT Sport.
“The hat-trick was almost there, I tried, but the most important thing was the win.
“After a difficult moment we are back to winning games. When you are winning games the confidence goes high. Now we have to carry on.”
