Prediction Time: Michael Owen predicts Watford v Chelsea

Michael Owen is backing Eden Hazard to inspire Chelsea FC to a much-needed win at Watford on Monday night.
The defending Premier League champions suffered a shock 3-0 loss to Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth side at Stamford Bridge mid-week.

Chelsea FC dropped down to fourth place in the Premier League table following their surprise loss to the Cherries in west London.

The Blues added three new players to their Chelsea squad in the January transfer window to bolster Antonio Conte’s squad.

The west London side signed Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud in a reported £21m deal on transfer deadline day.

The 31-year-old France forward could be in line to make his Chelsea FC debut against their London rivals Watford on Monday night.

Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Owen is backing Chelsea FC to secure three points against the Hornets.

“You have to go back to 1999 for the last time Watford beat Chelsea in any competition and the limited evidence we have to date suggests the Hornets will play a less expansive game under Javi Gracia,” Owen told BetVictor.

“The champions were well beaten by Bournemouth midweek but I expect Antonio Conte’s side to bounce back with Eden Hazard likely to be to the fore once again.”

Chelsea FC signed England international Ross Barkley in a £15m deal from Premier League rivals Everton at the start of the January transfer window.

The Blues brought in AS Roma defender Emerson Palmieri in a £23m switch last week.

Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Conte.
