Conte should drop these 2 Chelsea players to help turn his season around – agreed?

The Chelsea fans think that Antonio Conte’s tenure at the helm of the club is hanging by a thread. The Blues have been poor in 2018, and it’s clear that the Italian has a big job on his hands to turn things around.

Over the last few weeks, he has typically opted to utilise the same group of players. That was what made the team so successful last season, after all, with the Italian able to rely on a small squad due to the lack of continental competition in his calendar.

That isn’t the case now, though, and it’s clear that things need to change. He can’t rely on the same players and expect things to improve, and so the only thing he can do is give a few other players a chance.

There are more than a couple of names that immediately stick out as being weak-links within the Chelsea first team, and the Italian will need to make a few big calls over the coming weeks when it comes to his team selection. This isn’t a case of needing to change the team based on the impending fixture.

Rather, this is a case of not picking players that simply aren’t good enough to play for the club at the present moment.

Without a doubt, Conte must drop these 2 Chelsea players to have a doubt of saving his job and turning his season around – agreed?

Tiemoue Bakayoko came to Chelsea with huge expectations. He was replacing Nemanja Matic, after all.

However, fast forward 6 months, and the Frenchman simply hasn’t been up to par.

He was dropped involuntarily for Chelsea’s last game, at least, owing to suspension – but Conte would be wise to give him an extended run out of the first team.

The Frenchman simply hasn’t been good enough.

He’s Chelsea’s captain, but enough is enough.

Gary Cahill has come under fire throughout the season for his poor form, and it has shown no signs of improving as of late.

He continually fails to deliver on the pitch, and his stature as team captain can only last for so long.

It isn’t like Chelsea are lacking defenders. To the contrary, Antonio Rudiger looks raring to get an extended run in the first team.

Cahill has been a great servant for the club, but it’s time for him to take a seat on the bench.

  1. Yes I agreed, both are error in selection, Chelsea need to focus on fit players either in midfield or defense line, Bakayoko is a disaster and Cahill is morrow of errors
