Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson singles out Chelsea’s worst player: “We targeted him”

Chelsea 0 – Bournemouth 3

Are Chelsea going to miss out on a place in the Premier League’s top four?

In one of their worst performances of the season, Chelsea lost 3-0 at home to Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

And Bournemouth thoroughly deserved their away win at Stamford Bridge.

The Cherries were the better team from the get-go, although Eddie Howe’s only found the target in the second half.

Callum Wilson opened the scoring after 51 minutes. Junior Stanislas doubled the lead in the 64th, while former Chelsea defender Nathan Ake scored the third to seal the win.

The result left Chelsea in fourth, level on points with Liverpool. Tottenham are two points behind those sides.

Bournemouth have boosted their survival hopes. Sitting tenth, the Cherries have 28 points from 25 games.

Callum Wilson: Gary Cahill was singled out

After the match, Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson made an incredible statement.

The striker admitted to reporters that Bournemouth’s plan was to attack Chelsea’s weak link at the back: Gary Cahill.

Cahill had a terrible match. He was at fault for both the second and third goals.

Is Andreas Christensen cursed?

Yet again Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen failed to complete match.

Christensen was subbed out the Bournemouth game in the first half.

The Dane seemed to pick up a hamstring injury against the Cherries. That could see Christensen sidelined for the next two to three weeks.

The fear for Chelsea is that Christensen will now miss the Champions League knockout match against Barcelona.

He’ll also certainly miss Chelsea’s away trip to Watford on Monday night in the Premier League.
