Thibaut Courtois hits out at Chelsea fans after 0-0 Draw against Leicester City

Chelsea 0 – Leicester 0

It wasn’t a great day for Chelsea.

Antonio Conte’s men were held to a goalless draw by Leicester on Saturday.

Will Chelsea finish the season as runners-up to Man City? The Leicester result has given Man United a boost before their match with Stoke on Monday.

Moreover, the Foxes held Chelsea to their fourth draw in a row. That’s after Arsenal and Norwich also held the Blues to stalemates.

Thibaut Courtois vs Chelsea fans

Chelsea star Thibaut Courtois has hit out at his own fans for booing and whistling his team-mates during the Blues’ goalless draw with Leicester City on Saturday.

The west Londoners were frustrated by the visitors and were unable to breakdown a stubborn Foxes defence down.

Even when full-back Ben Chilwell received his marching orders in the second half Chelsea still failed to find the back of the net.

The result moves Antonio Conte’s side level with second-placed Manchester United on 47 points, who still have a game in hand.

Speaking after the clash, Courtois felt as though the Stamford Bridge home fans didn’t give the support they should have.

“It doesn’t help when the fans boo and whistle after each misplaced pass,” Courtois told Sky Sports. “We didn’t play well but that’s when we need the fans behind us.”
