Chelsea want to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco as their first January signing, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the Blues have cooled their interest in signing Celtic striker Moussa Dembele and are prioritising other attacking targets this month.
The same report says that Chelsea are keen to add to their forward options this month because striker Michy Batshuayi is still not fully trusted by Antonio Conte at the club.
Chelsea are reportedly keen on bringing Lemar to Stamford Bridge this January, with the 22-year-old France star having been linked to both Arsenal and Liverpool FC in the summer months.
The same story also says that Chelsea keen on signing Red Star Belgrade star Richmond Boakye and Everton midfielder Ross Barkley.
Chelsea are bound to be linked with a number of players this months as Conte looks to strengthen his side in time for the second half of the season.
The west London side were busy in the summer and brought in six new faces ahead of Conte’s second season at the club.
The Blues will be wanting to make sure they are in the strongest possible shape heading into their crunch Champions League showdown with Barcelona next month in the last 16 of Europe’s elite club competition.
