Chelsea news: Huge Sanchez update, Lanzini transfer claim, Conte sends Hazard warning

Chelsea are desperate to sign Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez, according to Spanish transfer outlet Don Balon.

Starsport understands the Chile ace will leave the Emirates this month.

And should the Blues land Sanchez this month, Don Balon add that they the winger’s arrival could lead to Eden Hazard joining Real Madrid in the summer.

Chelsea reportedly feel Hazard is likely to quit Stamford Bridge for Real and Sanchez would be the ideal replacement.

The 27-year-old is a long-term target for Real, whose manager Zinedine Zidane is a known admirer.

Chelsea should make a move for West Ham playmaker Manuel Lanzini, says BBC Sport pundit Garth Crooks.

Lanzini has been one of the few bright sparks in a disappointing season for West Ham – and Crooks reckons he’d be a perfect replacement for Chelsea’s ageing Cesc Fabregas.

Crooks told BBC Sport: “The skillful Argentine was like a sorcerer’s apprentice weaving his magic and left the John Smith’s stadium with the Terriers will under his spell.

“The only problem I can foresee is that if Lanzini keeps playing like this, how long before Chelsea come knocking on the door?

“Cesc Fabregas is not getting any younger you know.”

Antonio Conte has warned Hazard he doesn’t care about keeping him happy after he was taken off for a fourth successive game against Leicester.

Asked how the Belgian felt about it, Conte replied: “This is not important. I’m the coach, I decide. It’s not important if one player is happy or not.

“Only here (in England) is this situation, where you are very worried about whether a player is happy or not.

“My first task is to do the best for the team and the club. Not to make every player happy. Otherwise we’d risk finishing 20th in the table.

“I’m worried about making my players happy. No. I’m worried to win.”
