The Portuguese assist king can be the new star turn for Chelsea if Eden Hazard moves on in 2018

Chelsea will no doubt face a testing January and an even bigger summer, as rumours and stories are already beginning to circulate around the future of star man Eden Hazard, with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona on high alert.

The Blues will be desperate to keep hold of Hazard, who has developed into a genuine world class star during his time at the Bridge and is adored by the Chelsea faithful.

However, there’s always a chance that star players move on for another challenge, and we think Chelsea need to be prepared for Hazard to make a move. With that in mind, we thinks the club need to be considering long term replacements, and there’s a few players we have in mind.

One such player who is having a tremendous season over in Spain with Valencia is Portuguese starlet Goncalo Guedes, whose form has seen Valencia become the closest challengers to Barcelona at the top of La Liga to the surprise of many in world football.

Guedes though has proved a key component, and in his eight appearances, he’s already managed three goals and five assists, no mean feat to say he doesn’t always get the starts he might want.

At just 21, Guedes has plenty of time to develop into a world class talent, and much like Hazard, he can play across the entire font line with ease, representing the ideal sort of signing for Antonio Conte should he wish to act and build in the replacements for Hazard.

Blues fans, what do you think to Guedes? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
