Chelsea hold transfer meeting in preparation to move for Bundesliga star – report

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have held a meeting to discuss their chances of signing Bayern Leverkusen’s Jamaican winger, Leon Bailey.

It is believed that Barcelona and Liverpool are also monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation, and the Blues allegedly saw the winger play for Leverkusen on Friday.

The starlet transferred to the German side from Genk during the summer window for a fee of £12.75M. He has been impressive at his new club this season, having already scored four goals and amassed four assists.

Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly unwilling to sell their winger in the forthcoming January transfer window, considering how well Bailey has adapted to life in Germany and because he was only signed last summer. The German club are currently targeting a European place in the Bundesliga.
