Roman Abramovich has decided to sack Antonio Conte – report in Spain

Romand Abramovich has already made up his mind to SACK Antonio Conte at the end of the season, claim reports in Madrid.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has endured a mixed start to the Blues’ title defence and they sit nine points off league leaders Manchester City.

The west London club romped to the Premier League title last season but this term have struggled to balance both domestic and European duties.

Chelsea were thrashed 3-0 at Roma in the Champions League last night and there are concerns the players are unhappy with Conte’s work-heavy training methods.

Conte was linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge in the summer and was eventually appeased with an improved contract.

But reports in Spain claim all is not well at the club and that Abramovich is ready to act.

Newspaper Marca report that Conte has barely spoken to Abramovich in recent weeks.

Instead, communication with the top echelons at Chelsea goes through director Marina Granovskaia.

Marca claim Conte is aware that Chelsea are already considering their options for next season.

The Blues sit fourth in the table but Manchester City’s stellar start to the campaign has left everyone else trailing in their wake.

It is claimed Abramovich will do the same with Conte as he did to Roberto Di Matteo and sack the manager when the time is right.

Marca do not speculate over who could replace the Italian, who is supposed hopeful of turning the club’s fortunes around.

  1. Sacking managers time and again might bring in trophies but it won’t make Chelsea a great club they aspire to be.They will never reach the heights of Manchester United,Juventus or Barcelona. It’s just not the right way of handling problems, it kills the progress of young players, look at Ruben Loftus Cheek and Bertrand Traore, those lads were doing well before Mourinho was sacked for a second time. Where are they now? They sold Traore just like they did Lukaku (who will haunt us this coming Sunday) and RBL could meet the same fate Kevin DE Bruyne met and fortunately just like KDB he will bought by another big Epl club. Conte has young talented players such as Ampadu,Kenedy,Christensen,Musonda, whom he is trying to integrate into the senior team. Now all that effort will be undone if he is sacked and guess what most of those kids dreams of making it into the senior team will be shattered.
Furthermore the board failed to get Alex Sandro, Candreva, Llorente, Lukaku, Danilo, that’s almost 100% of what Conte wanted in the summer transfer and you expect him to compete with the two Manchester clubs who did their transfer business stupendously in the summer.
Sacking Conte isn’t the solution to Chelsea’s mounting problems, it is actually a problem on its own. I believe we haven’t seen anything yet from the Antonio, aka “The Godfather” and axing him will be robbing the Chelsea fans of the glory they have always dreamed of. We have not seen a Conte team yet, Chelsea are still in transition and it is after this season that I strongly believe, will witness the Masterclass tactician that is Conte. It is after this season that we will see a ruthless and fearsome Chelsea, but that can only happen if Conte stays and he gets the players he desires in the next summer transfer.

Sacking managers just kills the consistency of players, Chelsea need to stay and continue with Conte’s ideology/philosophy of football. All these rumors about players complaining about the gaffers training methods, will soon die if Roman Abramovich assures Conte of keeping his job. Chelsea players should stop mourning and crying like babies, it’s time they man up and fight along with Conte, fight for the fans, fight for the Chelsea badge.

Please give Conte time, he has earned it,he won the league with 4 or 5 players I truly believe would never qualify to be even on the bench of a real Conte team.

    • Its to early for a manager like Conte to get sacked. Of course, Abrahamovich has got every reason to think of sacking managers as he wills- ‘He is the boss’. Nevertheless, he must give heed to football expertise dertemining decisions over business motives. We know that owners of clubs are concerned with scooping trophies at whatever cost but its high time Chelsea’ owner considers matters to do with the club’s future.Conte lifted Chelsea when it was experiencing its worst moment- perfomance was down. Not just lifting us up, but to make us be the 2016/17 league winners for that matter. Looking at our current statistical standings on the log in both the Champions and Premier League, still Conte isn’t faring that bad, he is better if i can be precise. So please, Abrahamovich, spare Conte a chance for all of us who have all to do with the club, though i am just a fan

  2. By this time its unaappriate to sack manager antonio conte because if we look he is on top four.therefore on ucl he can qualify to round of 16 .to wrap it all to sack manager if he loses one or two games is a futile exercise because of future improvements.

  3. After just 6 games last year Chelsea were already 8 points behind Man city yet they turned things around in greats style, and finished many points ahead of city and 7 ahead of 2nd place Tottenham. So its very early for anyone to be thinking of sacking a manager who has once before done the unthinkable, or most people believed. Personally I do not believe these reports.

  4. Conte is really trying for the chelsea because when they were down he brought them Up..The season is just starting why thinking of sacking a manager by this time..Conte is doing well at least we had the title last season.Anything can still happen this season this is football..
