Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move for Juventus defender Alex Sandro this summer but his current manager has batted away any talk of the in-demand star moving to Stamford Bridge.
Speaking after Juventus were beaten by Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season game at Wembley, Massimiliano Allegri told reporters that Sandro would not be sold this window despite the strong links with Antonio Conte’s men.
“Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one,” Allegri said after the game at Wembley.
On the chances of Sandro leaving for Stamford Bridge, the coach added: “No chance.”
Chelsea are quite keen to add full-backs to their squad this summer after signing Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko but it appears that Sandro, at least according to Allegri, will not be someone the club will sign.
The Brazilian had looked a certainty to join the Blues but the league champions have been unable to agree on a deal with Juve.
Sandro joined Juve from Porto in August 2015, after Blues manager Antonio Conte had left the Italian club.
Conte is looking for competition for left wing-back Marcos Alonso, and Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta said in June that Sandro could leave this summer if he is no longer happy, but no deal could be agreed.
