PAUL MERSON insists Chelsea’s march to the title will not suffer any set-backs at Stoke.
The Blues will look to extend their 10 point lead at the top of the Premier League table when they make the trip to the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
While Merson has been impressed by Stoke this season, especially at home, he can only see a Chelsea victory this weekend.
He told Sky Sports: “I can’t see Stoke winning this game as Chelsea are head and shoulders above everyone else at the moment.
“I normally do not back against Stoke at home, but I cannot see anything other than a Chelsea win here.
“They are looking very good at the moment.”
The Potters, who have only lost twice in the top-flight in 2017, will have to rethink their tactics for when they face Chelsea.
Hughes said: “They play in a slightly different way than Manchester City do with three at the back, as opposed to four, so we will do a bit of work on that.
“There may well be a few changes but not radical ones.
“We’ve got good options at the moment and sometimes you have to be fair to the guys who have helped you get positive results, albeit I will always try to pick a team that I feel is best capable of winning a match.
“That sometimes means changing a winning team.”
