Chelsea are reportedly fearful that Thibaut Courtois could push for a transfer to Real Madrid this summer unless they give him a new big-money contract.
The Belgium international has been in superb form for the Blues this season, and is among the Spanish giants’ main targets to fill their number one spot next year.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is also said to be wanted by Real, but Los Blancos could be alerted to Courtois due to his desire to move back to Spain.
Courtois had a happy three years on loan at Atletico Madrid before becoming first choice at Chelsea and the Daily Mirror now claim he’ll ask for over £200,000 a week to remain at Stamford Bridge.
The 24-year-old is considered a key player by Antonio Conte, who will want to keep his ‘keeper at Chelsea amid growing interest from top clubs.
Chelsea also face doubts over star player Diego Costa ahead of the summer after rejecting offers to sell him to Chinese Super League clubs in January.
