JOSE MOURINHO reckons Paul Pogba was the best player on the pitch for Manchester United’s defeat at Chelsea.
The Red Devils lost their FA Cup quarter-final clash 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
United went down to 10 men in the first half after Ander Herrera saw red and Mourinho’s men fought valiantly.
But N’Golo Kante netted the winner from outside the box to sink the Red Devils.
And despite Pogba’s countryman Kante outshining him on the big stage, Mourinho reckons the world’s most expensive player was the star at Stamford Bridge.
“We have to be positive, the players were phenomenal but Pogba was by far the best player on the pitch,” said Mourinho.
“He was a giant on the pitch. After him, all my other boys were fantastic.
“The specialists will say a lot about him and it comes from envy.
“They will never ever earn 10 percent of what he does.”
