HARRY REDKNAPP can’t believe Antonio Conte didn’t play three at the back all season.
It took a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in September for Conte to switch to the wing-back formation that served him so well with Juventus and Italy.
It’s worked – Chelsea are now 13 points clear at the top – but Redknapp thinks they could be even further clear.
He told BT Sport: “It was amazing how he changed the system.
“It was a system he’d always played – with Juventus and Italy – but he came here with a back four. I couldn’t believe he did that.
“I fancied Chelsea from the start of the year.
“I thought they’d come back after one bad year and I was disappointed that he didn’t start with three at the back.
“Then, after two bad defeats, all of a sudden he went back to the system that had been successful for him and since then he’s never looked back.”
