Chelsea make huge transfer decision: This could stop Antonio Conte from signing top target

CHELSEA are reportedly unwilling to meet Everton’s valuation of star man Romelu Lukaku.

The 23-year-old hitman has been in sensational form for the Toffees this term, smashing home 21 goals.

And Antonio Conte is keen to have the Belgium international doing the same back at Stamford Bridge next season.

The Chelsea gaffer saw a whopping £65m bid for Lukaku knocked back after he replaced Jose Mourinho last summer.

And while Roman Abramovich is ready to bankroll a megabucks move, Everton’s asking price could prevent a deal going through.

The Sunday Express claim Chelsea will go no higher than £70m for Lukaku – £5m short of what Goodison Park chiefs are demanding.

That decision could mean Conte is forced to look down his wish list as he seeks to add to his frontline options.

The Italian has been linked with swoops for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Torino ace Andrea Belotti too.

  1. As a fan of Chelsea I m advising the current coach not to make a mistake in spending much in one overpriced players as Man U did, he must be smart in identifying the unknown talented soccer athletes out there world wide.
