CHELSEA and Arsenal have reportedly been dealt a boost in their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic.
Brozovic, 24, only joined Inter on a permanent basis last summer after a successful spell on loan from Dinamo Zagreb.
But the Croatia international has already been deemed surplus to requirements at the San Siro, according to Calciomercato.
He has apparently fallen behind Roberto Gagliardini and Geoffrey Kondogbia in coach Stefano Pioli’s pecking order.
The news could come as a boost to both Chelsea and Arsenal, who are said to be ready to offer Brozovic a fresh challenge in London.
There are still four-and-a-half years left to run on his current contract in Milan.
But the Premier League pair will reportedly be able to land their man for a fee of around £22m (€25m).
He has made 21 appearances this season, scoring five goals and assisting four in the process.
