Willian has thanked Antonio Conte for his support as the Brazilian playmaker looks to find his top form under the Blues boss.
The Brazilian was one of Chelsea’s top performers last season as the west London side struggled in all competitions.
Willian is now getting used to life under new Chelsea boss Conte following the Italian’s appointment as the club’s new manager back in the summer months.
And the 28-year-old is determined to prove his worth to the new man in charge at Stamford Bridge as the Blues look to continue their strong start to the season.
Willian told Chelsea’s website before Sunday’s clash with West Brom: “I am happy to hear the manager say I am important and to have the support of him and the staff.
“Of course we all want to play but we can’t because there’s only 11 players who can be on the pitch.
“Now I just have to continue to work hard every day and to show my quality again.”
Willian has been in fine form this season and had scored three goals in 10 Premier League games before this weekend’s clash with the Baggies.
Chelsea are looking to end this season with a trophy after their disastrous 10th-placed finish last season following Jose Mourinho’s sacking.
