Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua have offer Chelsea stalwart John Terry a bumper pay day to leave his boyhood club and move to the Far East, according to The Sun.
The former England captain is in the last year of his contract with the Blues and has fallen out of favour at Stamford Bridge of late.
Antonio Conte’s three-man defence of David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta and Gary Cahill has led the West London club to the top of the Premier League table, with Terry now a fringe figure.
The report suggests that Shanghai manager Gus Poyet wants his former Chelsea team-mate in China and is willing to break the bank to land him.
Terry would reportedly earn a whopping £11.9 million in wages after tax if he was to pen a 12-month deal with the Shanghai side.
The Chinese team are hopeful that there would be no transfer fee involved and that Chelsea would allow the veteran defender to leave for free in January.
