Italian star Marco Verratti has emerged as Chelsea’s No.1 January target, reports The Daily Mail, and overnight comments from his manager hint that there’s plenty of interest in the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and his heart is not set on definitely sticking it out in the French capital.
The 24-year-old is tied down to the French club until 2021, but under Unai Emery, there are fears that the Ligue 1 giants aren’t progressing.
“Suning (Inter Milan’s new owner) can hope for any player in the world, not only Marco. There are a lot of teams interested in him, but you would have to ask PSG,” his agent Donato Di Campli told TeleLombardia.
“Will he stay in Paris for life? I can assure you – no. I can confirm that he has had offers from Italy, but I have no news at the moment.
“Suning want to revolutionise the market, but, so far, they have not spent well.”
