Chelsea’s star players can learn a lot from Cesc Fabregas.
That’s according to Blues boss Antonio Conte.
The Spain international has been dropped from the Italian’s starting XI this season but has been recalled in recent weeks.
Fabregas impressed in Chelsea’s win against Manchester City earlier this month and was rewarded with another start last night against Sunderland.
The playmaker netted the winner at the Stadium of Light to extend the Blues’ lead at the summit of the Premier League table to six points.
And Conte has hailed his star man, claiming Fabregas is a good role model for his team-mates.
“I am very happy for him,” said Conte.
“Cesc is a great example for the other players because this was only the third game he has started [in the league].
“This month he has a fantastic attitude, great behaviour, great commitment.
“I have four midfielders and I have to try to make the best choice before every game, and consider also when we have to face a physical opponent and when we need more technique.
“His answer was very good today and also against Manchester City.”
